The superconductor-insulator transition is a quantum phase transition, which is dominated by quantum fluctuations. A unique and innovative tool for measuring those fluctuation is the Nernst effect. We are conducting measurements of Nernst effect through the SIT. Our system is an ordered Nb dots array. This enables us to measure the SIT without the additional influences of disorder. The SIT is tuned by metallic layers which are deposited in-situ, using quench condensation technique.
